Since 1st April 2011  70% of all new rough sleepers did not spend a second night out. 3,672 new rough sleepers were brought into the NSNO assessment hubs. NSNO successfully helped 2,090 people to exit rough sleeping and find accommodation.

Over the course of 2011/12 there were 5,678 Rough Sleepers recorded on London’s streets. These individuals have been broadly categorised as those who are new to the street – 3,825 (67 per cent), longer term rough sleepers seen in at least the current and previous year – 1, 199 (21 per cent), and those who have returned to the streets after a period of at least a year away - 654 (12 per cent).
