Since 1st April 2011, 76% of all new rough sleepers accessing NSNO did not spend a second night out. 8,337 new rough sleepers have been brought into the NSNO assessment hubs. NSNO successfully helped 4,788 people to exit rough sleeping.

 

Since 1st April 2015, 86% of all new rough sleepers accessing NSNO did not spend a second night out. 1,326 new rough sleepers were brought into the NSNO assessment hubs. NSNO successfully helped 772 people to exit rough sleeping.

 

Over the course of 2015/16 there were 8,096 rough sleepers recorded on London’s streets. These individuals have been broadly categorised as those who are new to the street – 5,276 (65%), longer term rough sleepers seen in at least the current and previous year – 1,828 (23%), and those who have returned to the streets after a period of at least a year away – 992 (12%).
