Deputy Major pledges to keep to target of ending rough sleeping in the capital

The deputy mayor for housing in London has pledged to keep the no second night out target after the end of this year.  

Rick Blakeway has also told Inside Housing he is looking at a shake-up of the London Delivery board, which he said he would definitely keep post-2012.

  1. Can you please explain if you will be maintaining/increasing/decreasing the budget for NSNO now that the Olympics are over?

    • Thank-you for your question. There was no change to the NSNO service, before, during or after the Olympics and no change to the budget. The only thing we did as a service, as did many organisations, is have a contingency plan in place in case there was an unexpected rise in new rough sleepers, or a disruption to services during this period.The good news was the Olympics appeared to have no impact in the numbers of rough sleepers in London.
